- 1/2 cup lentils, rinsed
- 1/2 cup navy beans, rinsed
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 2 cups sliced celery
- 5 carrots, scrub, & slice 1/2 " thick
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup barley
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 cup red cooking wine
- 1 quart V-8 juice
- 2 cups water
Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
Cook on High for 4 to 6 hours, or
cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.
